The mission of Sons of Thunder-Boanerges is to provide motorcyclists a social riding group that focuses on riding and our love for Jesus. Fellowship, with the common denominator of motorcycling is our goal. We are open to all types and styles of motorcycles. All riders are welcome. Sharing God's Love Through Motorcycling.
Our "Colors" on our vests and jackets reflect the origins of the name "Sons of Thunder". The name Boanerges (Boan-er-jeezs) comes from the scripture of Mark 3:17 where Jesus is talking with Zebedee about his two boys James and John, that he wants to become disciples. He blesses them, and calls them "Boanerges", which translated means "Sons of Thunder", bold proclaimers of Jesus. This is the true core philosophy of our group. Believing in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and that he wore a crown of thorns and was nailed on the cross for us, is required to wear the "colors" of Boanerges. The Wings are a symbol of power and protection. The red in the wings represent His shed blood. The colors of purple and gold are colors of King's Royalty.
